This charming painting is a rendition of a summer scene in Blue Hill, Maine. Using vibrant, yet natural hues allows Littlefield to create a remarkably bright, sun-lit effect. Her use of short brushstrokes for the surrounding trees, grasses, and water evokes a sentiment of movement - almost as if from a slight summer breeze. Sally Littlefield graduated with a degree in Industrial Arts from The University of Cincinnati. She is currently is a Maine artist and resident.
