Artist Information
Born in Freiberg,Germany,Theophile Schneider lived in New York and Boston. His paintings were exhibited in museums and salons in both these areas. A prize was won at the Boston AC exhibit in 1924; he also exhibited in NYWCC and PAFA (Penn. Academy of Fine Arts). Theophile Schneider was known for landscape and coastal views, including Monhegan Island.
