Artist Information:
Anne Songhurst was born in Kent, England in 1946. Despite her early talent being recognized early she has followed a career in Land Registry, taking early retirement in 1998 to devote more time to painting. She has painted consistently in her spare time since 1974. She is an enthusiastic ornithologist and has worked on a number of book illustrations. Previous to 1992 she has worked under the name Anne Hopkinson.
