Publisher Information
Andrews lived in Knightsbridge and married to the daughter of John Kennedy of Hammersmith, a nurseryman who helped Andrews with his descriptions of the plants he illustrated. He was involved in every step of the process as the artist, engraver, colourist, and publisher of his books during a time when artists were commonly only employed to draw plates.
Andrews published 10 volumes of The Botanist's Repository between 1797 and 1812. This particular print was published in 1804 in volume 6.
